Entrepreneur & philanthropist Asif Aziz (Muslim 500 2021) is the Founder and CEO of Criterion Capital, a London based, hands on asset management company with a portfolio under management of c. £3.6 billion. Assembly London was Asif’s first own brand hotel, designed to be quirky, fun and funky. It’s design inspired by the city, extremely attractive price point and super central location has made Assembly London of the of most popular hotels in the West End.
Asif’s deep understanding of the London retail real estate market and active involvement in different property sectors has enabled him to create some of the some of the capital’s best loved in the last decade. His skill in creating value through active involvement in his asset management approach has enabled him to build a growing portfolio of more than 21 buildings across the commercial, private residential and hospitality spaces.
His portfolio includes some of London’s most iconic buildings in the West End including the London Trocadero, Pavilion and Criterion Building. Her background in design and events as well as a deep genuine passion for interiors has made her an invaluable asset to the Criterion family. Darija’s classic and funky style has enabled her to add quirks and quotations to nearly every Assembly guest social media account when she introduced the famous bunny chair to the Assembly room concept.
