Christmas Tree at Haymarket
Everyone knows about the epic displays of Christmas lights hanging above Regent Street, however, very few know that Regent Street extends into Lower Regent Street, from Piccadilly Circus leading towards Haymarket and its at the bottom of Lower Regent Street that you will find our first Christmas Instagram hotspot. Venture down to the end of the street and you’ll be awestruck by the enormous, gorgeously lit Christmas Tree, although you might be able to see it without walking all the way down. If you’re feeling lucky, you may even bump into the Father Christmas that can sometimes be spotted here.
Burlington Arcade
Right in between Piccadilly and Burlington Garden you can discover Burlington Arcade. A long arcade stretching 196 yards located just behind London’s affluent Bond Street. If you’re wondering why this arcade is on our list of 2019’s most Instagram-able hotspots in London this Christmas, then you’re in for a real treat. At the center, visitors can enjoy cascading snow celebrating 200 years of Burlington moments surrounded by dozens of Christmas trees and lights lining the entire length of the arcade. Try visiting early in the morning and just before the arcade closes for the best Instagram opportunity right in the heart of London’s West End.
Christmas in Covent Garden
A fan favourite throughout the year, its easy to get lost in the beauty that London’s Covent Garden has on display and Christmas is no exception. Walk past the decorated apple cart and dine in the Apple Market as giant baubles hang overhead for a bite with a festive twist. The main centrepiece? a giant beautiful lit Christmas Tree right in the heart of the piazza offering a mesmerising Instagram opportunity.
Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly
Considered as the Queens “greengrocer”, Fortnum & Mason is always a great place to visit at Christmas time. Not only do they have some great gift ideas, it brings a traditional British feel to Christmas and is also a great addition to any Instagram story. Decorations hang from the top floor to the lowest through Fortnum’s signature spiral staircase.
Peggy Porsche
This place is as sweet as it is pink and we haven’t even got started on the cakes. Located in London’s Belgravia, it attracts lifestyle and food influencers from every corner and although the cakes are delicious, it's just one of the many reasons this place is adored. The main reason why this place has attracted thousands of followers is it’s very pink and floral displays surrounding its entrance and façade and is one of our favourite Instagram hotspots in London this Christmas.
Churchill Arms
This is by far the most Instagram famous pub in London and its easy to see why. Every year the Churchill Arms in Kensington transforms into a living piece of art by decorating its entire building with some kind of floral display. This year they are sharing the spirit of Christmas by covering the entire outside of their building in decorated Christmas Trees which puts it on our list of London’s most Instagram-able places this Christmas.
Carnaby Street
This year’s Christmas lights in Carnaby Street are like no other. The cobbled street in the heart of London’s Soho is set to be a show stopper. This year, they have collaborated with Project Zero to raise the message of sustainability which is reflected in the colourful and vibrant light installations. As you make your way through the iconic arch you will see theatrical underwater scenes and sea creatures handing down from above, providing the perfect Christmas Instagram snap.
