shopping, food & culture

To experience one of London's most popular shopping destinations in the West End, head to Covent Garden - less than a five minute walk from Assembly.

If you like to 'shop 'til you drop', this is one of the top places to go. Home to designer shops such as Ted Baker, Lacoste, Paul Smith, Diesel and plenty more - those who have a love for fashion will love this area. For some lighthearted entertainment, head to Covent Garden’s West Piazza where you'll be the audience to many street performers including comedians, circus acts, magicians, the odd singer and London's much loved human statues. Performing regularly, they often attract large crowds and are always popular amongst first time visitors to London.

If all that shopping gives you a bit of an appetite, Covent Garden provides a plethora of cafes, coffee shops and Al fresco dining delis.

To experience one of Central London's bustling markets, Covent Garden is home to Jubilee Market. Open seven days a week, Jubilee Market boasts a number of market stalls selling everything from clothes, crafts, antiques and collectables.
